I like the way they treat my dog like he is the most important dog in the world. Everyone who works there is kind and considerate. Also, they really take the time to explain in detail what they are doing to treat my dog and make him feel better as soon as possible.

Dr Cindy is the best ever! She is so compassionate, knowledgable and caring. She has been our furry family members doc for several years. I trust her completely with my babies. Our other family members use her also with their baby doggies. This doctor goes way beyond what a regular vet would do. We are so very lucky to have her here in El Cajon! We drive clear across town passing a number of other veterinary clinics but would never think of anyone else with our doggies. Dr Karlberg is an asset to her hospital

From the moment Tara Marie and I walked into Dr. Karlberg's clinic we have been surrounded by love, caring and wonderful medical care. Dr. Karlberg has been our vet for 11 years now and has cared not only for Tara, known by all as Her Highness but for me. When I had surgery, they were caring and concerned about MY healing. When Tara and I had an accident with gopher poison, Dr. Karlberg was there every step of the way and saved Tara. Tara comes into this clinic knowing everyone there loves and cares about her. There is not a single aspect of the care Tara needs for her low thyroid condition and low kidney function that they do not follow carefully. Tara is prone to ear problems and they get her in as soon as she squeeks with any sign of trouble. I always receive follow up calls about her condition after a visit. I always receive a return of any call I make with questions. I trust Dr. Karlberg with Tara Marie and that says everything. I do not trust easily when it comes to doing the best for Tara Marie. I constantly recommend Dr. Karlberg to people who live with animals. I have never seen any pet parent or pet who was not treated with love, compassion and superior medical treatment.

I have been bringing my numerous pets to Dr. Karlberg for at least 15 years. She is an incredibly skilled vet and a wonderful person. She has been with me through two euthanizations of my dear pets Max (dog) and Pooper (cat). She was so kind and sympathetic, gave me time with my pet to say goodbye, and stayed with me during the process. I also was very impressed that when my cat Bart had a bladder infection, she saved him from needing surgery by keeping him over the weekend administering IV fluids and antibiotics, even coming from home to check on him on Mother's Day! I also appreciate her thorough and detailed explanations of diagnosis and treatment options and willingness to let me have the final choice in my pet's treatment and care. I trust her completely. I can imagine no other vet who is as dedicated to the pets and the owners as she is. She is a gem!

I wouldn't trust my fur babies to any other doctor. Her calming and nuturing way makes it easier for them to deal with the situation. Each one has it's own personality and she knows them all. She personally calls me after each procedure with the findings and insures my fur baby is doing well. If I have a financial problem, she works with me to be sure my fur baby is giving the best possibly care. As I sit in the waiting room I see that she gives each and every patient the same personal and professional care. I am Blessed to have found such a wonderful vet for my precious family.

Years ago I had to take my beautiful Lab girl Nike to Dr Cindy because she was having a terrible stomach ache. I was terrified my girl was bloating and was freaked out. Dr Cindy sat with me, put her arms around me and with tear in her own eyes told me that she would take good care of Nike and if emergency surgery was needed that she would personally transport my girl to the emergency hospital. Turns out Nike was just constipated. I have had K9 kids in and out of my life for over 30 years and I have never had a veterinarian so compassionate and caring. She truly treats my fur babies as if they were her own. We did lose my Nike years later from liver cancer and when that happened, the whole office grieved with me. Care and Comfort is the perfect name for Dr Cindy's Veterinary Hospital, I wouldn't take my precious girls anywhere else.

When I got my little Abby little did I know she would be so high maintenance. I was a nervous new mom and panicked at every sneeze. Dr. Karlberg took care of Abby but also took care of me. Abby has thrown out her knees three times, has skin issues and a sensitive digestive system. Dr Karlberg and all the staff at Care and Comfort are angels. Love them all

Our vets have taken care of my 4 dogs and 3 cats ever since 2005. I have all sizes from a chihuahua to a Boxer?/Great Dane mix. Dr Holly took care of my Chihuahua service dog in an emergency situation. Her tests came back as Kidney failure and she just didnt trust them and ran again, just dehydration. If she wouldnt have rerun tests my poor puppy would have suffered from treatment instead of just getting fluids. I will ALWAYS go to care and comfort for the care and comfort of my herd of animals. LOVE THEM!!!!!! And please pick them, from the vets to the office staff they always treat clients as family.

Cindy Karlberg is an amazing veterinarian. When one of my dogs had swallowed a toy, Dr. Karlberg came over to the veterinary hospital where she sent my dog Bailey for emergency surgery after she got off work! She treated my dog like it was her own! Whenever any of my furry family members has a problem, I can always count on Dr. Karlberg to find a solution. All of my pets love Dr. Karlberg and I am so glad to have her as our vet!
